Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks only for gender, date of birth, self-assessed health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount and term length. Those six pieces of information are sufficient for the carriers to return quotes. Contact details are collected only if and when you choose to submit an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes shown are what each carrier charges for the health class you selected. The carrier's final premium, rate class, and underwriting decision come after application. This site makes no guarantee of cost, approval, or coverage. The issued policy and its terms control.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter the quote details and your name, and the application platform—run by the carriers' own systems—opens prefilled with your answers. You can save your work and return later, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
Medical exams depend on the carrier, coverage amount, and your health answers. Many carriers now use accelerated underwriting for younger, healthier applicants and skip the exam entirely. The quote page for each carrier shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that quote.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the years when your death would create financial harm: an unpaid mortgage, dependents at home, a business loan. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years, which costs more per month but gives certainty. The quote tool lets you run side-by-side comparisons for 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool doesn't ask for contact details. We don't sell or share visitor information. Our first-party counter honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests, though the site also includes a cookieless page-view beacon from our content delivery provider that does not honor such signals. See the privacy page for comprehensive information.
